A FREE worldwide social network for the childfree!
I know at DINKInternational.com, one of the big reasons we choose to be childfree is because it allows us the time & flexibility (not to mention extra money) to travel the world! Our bucket lists seem to be infinite; it’s always growing! The more you travel, the more you learn about amazing places to visit in this world from other fellow travelers. Even if you do not have the funds to stay in exotic resorts, you can still have an excellent time staying in hostels, using Air BNB, or coach surfing – I personally have enjoyed these stays just as much as staying in luxury resorts; they offer completely different experiences but both can be equally fabulous!
Next time someone tells you they’d be bored being childfree, show them this bucket list!
Have you been to any of these places or do you have something to add to this list? Comment & let us know!
Here are some of our top picks (which do not include any places we have already visited, or any places in the USA -these will both be covered in separate posts):
Devil’s Pool, Victoria Falls, Zambia:
Do you like to live on the edge? How about soaking in a natural infinity edge pool at the edge of a massive 100m high waterfall?!? Well, if that sounds appealing to you then you probably would like to add this location to your bucket list. There is a lip at the edge of the waterfall here creating a “safe” pool to sit in. You can even jump in the pool or take a picture leaning against the edge – if you’ve got the guts!! Make sure you go at the right time of year (August through January) when the water levels are low enough to get in the pools! Truly a unique experience!!!
After thousands of years of erosion, many rock pools have formed and one of them has formed right on the very edge of the sheer drop. This is indeed the ultimate infinity pool.
Devil’s Pool, Victoria Falls – Swimming on the Edge: Devil’s Pool is a natural rock pool on the edge of the Victoria Falls, located along the Zambezi River on the border of Zambia and Zimbabwe. During the dry season, Devil’s Pool is shallow enough that people can safely swim right to the edge before the waterfall drops more than 300 feet (100m).
The Victoria Falls on the border between Zimbabwe and Zambia, attract thousands of tourists every year. One of the main attractions is the Devil’s Pool a natural swimming pool right at the edge of the falls.
